Job Title: Counter Attendant in Food Service

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Counter Attendant to join our team at Duke & Lion Family Co. in a food service role. As a Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and performing various tasks related to food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by serving customers at counters or buffet tables, taking orders, and handling customer inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, as well as sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Prepare and serve food, including portioning and wrapping foods, and packaging take-out food.
  • Restock refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas with food and supplies.
  • Operate manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Handle and store cleaning products and supplies.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in food service or a related field an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
