Director of Recruitment at Royal Roads University

Royal Roads University seeks a dynamic and experienced Director of Recruitment to lead our efforts in attracting a diverse and talented student body. Reporting to the Associate Vice-President of Communications and Marketing, this leadership role involves overseeing the recruitment team, managing outreach initiatives, and collaborating with various departments to achieve enrollment goals.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies aligned with university objectives.
  • Lead a high-performing recruitment team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Manage outreach programs and initiatives targeting prospective students across diverse markets.
  • Collaborate with academic departments and other stakeholders to ensure seamless student recruitment processes.
  • Analyze recruitment data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize strategies.
  • Oversee the budget allocation and management for recruitment activities.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in higher education recruitment.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in a relevant field with 8-10 years of experience, preferably in higher education administration including marketing, recruitment, admissions, internationalization, or community engagement.
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing principles, including market demographics, generational characteristics, and funnel management.
  • Proven success in student recruitment and knowledge of key global markets.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of fostering a positive team culture.
  • Experience with budget management, strategic planning, and project management.
