About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager to join our Construction Project Management Office at the University of Saskatchewan. This is a permanent full-time position that requires excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely execution and meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Determine project scope in collaboration with campus stakeholders, evaluating projects against university sustainability goals, planning & development standards, and guidelines.
  • Manage project budgets, including change orders, and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, risk strategies, and preliminary/final designs.
  • Provide innovative solutions to project problems, interpreting risks and opportunities quickly.
  • Ensure safety leadership by holding contractors accountable for contractual and legislative obligations.
  • Stay current with National Building Codes, safety standards, and other applicable regulations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in project management of construction works, including budget preparation, schedule development, and contract document creation.
  • Verifiable experience delivering projects in various procurement models, such as construction management, design-bid-build, and design-build.
  • Strong knowledge of project management best practices, including Agile methodologies.
  • An engineering degree, diploma in Architectural Technology, or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership eligibility in the Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT) and LEED accreditation would be considered an asset.
Benefits and Remuneration
