Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you'll provide high-quality care to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping our clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor residents' health status
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide wound care and manage medical equipment
- Educate residents and their families on health management
- Supervise and coordinate care provided by other healthcare staff
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid
- Document residents' medical histories and progress
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BScN) or Bachelor of Nursing degree (BN)
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Experience as a visiting nurse, visiting registered nurse, visiting registered practical nurse, and/or community nurse is considered an asset
- Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach; ability to lift 50lbs (23 kg) independently; ability to assist clients with standing, walking, and sitting; ability to reposition clients in bed
- Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR
- Updated immunization records (including completion of a two-step tuberculosis test)
- Clear Vulnerable sector screen is required upon hire
- Ability to interact with others in a caring, tactful, and courteous manner
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and crisis-resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid G2/G driver's license and access to a reliable car
- Ability to use phone applications
