Job Summary

Cartel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Defence Law Clerk to join our team. As an Insurance Defence Law Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lawyers in the preparation and presentation of cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze file materials to assist in drafting assessments and other legal documents.
  • Organize and manage files, including requesting, indexing, and organizing documentary productions.
  • Assist lawyers with drafting pleadings, document production, and preparing for hearings and trials.
  • Review and summarize transcripts of examinations for discovery.
  • Correspond with counsel to ensure all productions are received.
  • Provide support on matters related to professional negligence, product liability, motor vehicle accidents, and slip and falls claims.
  • Act as liaison between the client and lawyer for day-to-day matters.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Insurance Defence.
  • Confidential nature with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Solid understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
