Dialysis Technologist

Job Summary
Humber River Health is seeking a skilled Dialysis Technologist to join our team. As a Dialysis Technologist, you will be responsible for maintaining hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and other dialysis-related equipment according to current standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair dialysis equipment, including hemodialysis machines and water treatment systems
- Perform routine service schedules and electrical inspections of dialysis equipment
- Provide assessment of patient homes for the installation of plumbing and electrical work for the initiation of home dialysis
- Provide computer support and perform routine back-ups, support, and information for other dialysis staff
- Assist in research and evaluation of new products, practices, and procedures, reporting findings or documentation
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized Electronic/Biomedical Engineering Technologist Program or Dialysis Technology Program with at least 3 years of related dialysis experience
- Recent computer-related experience with Microsoft Office products and general PC hardware/software configurations
- Fluent in English (verbal and written) with the ability to read and understand basic medical terminology, concepts of sterility, and aseptic technique
