Hemodialysis Equipment Specialist

As a Hemodialysis Equipment Specialist at Humber River Health, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of these critical systems, enabling our patients to receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis equipment according to established standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct routine electrical inspections and perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Service and exchange hemodialysis machines and water treatment systems in patient homes.
  • Provide technical support and training to dialysis staff and patients.
  • Assist in research and evaluation of new products and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a recognized Electronic/Biomedical Engineering Technologist program or Dialysis Technology program with at least 3 years of related experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis equipment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
