Senior Manager Equipment Breakdown

Aviva is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Equipment Breakdown to join our GCS – Engineering Risk Management department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a high-performing team of engineers in jurisdictional inspections, ensuring compliance with National Board and provincial legislation.
- Develop and implement comprehensive loss prevention strategies, including EBI inspection and claims strategy.
- Embed a customer-centric culture within the team, mitigating risks for customers and Aviva.
- Monitor market trends and changes, and provide market-leading claims handling.
- Establish quality control measures, including critical review of risk assessment reports.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of supervising field services, including claims.
- 5-7 years of experience as an Equipment Breakdown specialist.
- 3-5 years of operating as a power or marine engineer at or above 2nd class, or 5-7 years managing a production facility.
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Diploma in Marine or Power Engineering.
- Ability to obtain National Board commission/Provincial certification for boiler and pressure vessel inspection.
- CRM/CIP designation, including all claims courses, is preferred.
