Senior Manager, Equipment Breakdown Underwriting, Large Accounts Leader

At Co-operators, we're committed to empowering our employees to make a meaningful impact. As a Senior Manager, Equipment Breakdown Underwriting, Large Accounts, you'll play a critical role in driving the growth and profitability of our Equipment Breakdown line of business.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the Equipment Breakdown business unit growth strategy in partnership with the AVP Equipment Breakdown.
- Manage the planning, budgeting, and underwriting operations across the country, ensuring standard underwriting and governance practices are applied consistently.
- Provide direction, guidance, and technical support to underwriters, and support continuous improvement and product development.
- Play an active role in client and portfolio management, building relationships with key stakeholders and identifying opportunities for cross-selling.
- Coach and develop team members to drive performance and competencies, and manage talent review for your team.
- 5+ years of underwriting leadership experience, preferably in the Equipment Breakdown space.
- 10+ years of progressive Equipment Breakdown underwriting experience, including Low-Hazard and High-Hazard risk categories.
- Deep understanding of EB coverage intent, products, and appetite.
- Strong negotiation and collaboration skills, with a positive record of working with insurance brokers, MGAs, and other distribution partners.
- Bilingual capabilities in French are advantageous.
- CIP designation or FCIP courses/designation are preferable but not required.
- A University Degree in Business Administration or Engineering is preferred.
