Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Dawson Creek & District Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients with substance use and mental health disorders. This includes performing assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the direction of the Program Lead or RN/RPN.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients with substance use and mental health disorders
  • Perform assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
Requirements:
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
