Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Dawson Creek & District Hospital.

About the Role

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will work under the direction of the Unit/Program Manager or designate and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to perform assessments, plan and provide personal care, and perform nursing procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments and develop plans of care for patients
  • Provide personal care and perform nursing procedures
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes
  • Work in accordance with the competency guidelines and scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives
Requirements
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, co-workers, and the public
  • Ability to deal with others effectively and work in a team environment
  • Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care
  • Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice as currently required by the BCCNM
