Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment, direct intervention, consultation, and education to clients in various settings, including acute care, outpatient, long-term care, and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to develop personalized rehabilitation plans
  • Provide direct intervention, consultation, and education to clients and their families
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in the education and training of students and provisional members
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of rehabilitation programs

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent entry-level requirement in Occupational Therapy
  • Active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM)
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email/outlook
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French)
