Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will work as a member of a multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team, providing client-centered services to children and adult populations. The incumbent will participate in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of rehabilitation services, using a goal-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop rehabilitation plans for clients
  • Provide direct intervention, consultation, and education to clients and caregivers
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to achieve client goals
  • Supervise students and provisional members
  • Participate in education and training for healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email
  • Effective communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
  • Proficiency in both official languages

Working Conditions:

  • Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, and Adult Abuse Registry Check
  • Immunized as a condition of employment
