Surface Finishing Specialist Job Overview

GILL HOME RENOVATION INC. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surface Finishing Specialist to join our team. This role involves a variety of tasks related to preparing and applying finishes to various surfaces.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience ranging from 1 to 7 months in a similar role is preferred.
Work Environment

The position primarily involves working outdoors in diverse settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to ensure optimal finish application.
  • Repair any imperfections such as cracks and holes.
  • Mix paints to achieve the desired color and texture.
  • Apply wallpaper and other decorative materials to walls.
  • Advise clients on color selections and wall coverings.
  • Set up scaffolding and swing stages as necessary.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes with precision.
  • Estimate the costs and materials required for projects.
Physical Demands
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to distinguish between different colors.
  • Physical stamina for bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Capable of handling physically demanding tasks.
