About the Role

The Opportunity

As a key member of the Legal Services Regulatory Advice team at ASIC, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal advice and guidance to our teams on complex regulatory matters.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other lawyers to provide advice on a broad range of regulatory matters, including credit, corporations, and financial services law.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to inform our advice and guidance.
  • Advise on and draft legislative instruments, as well as provide subject matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent ASIC in a legal capacity at internal and external meetings and committees.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lawyer with a strong background in corporate law and regulatory advice. You will have:

Legal qualifications and relevant post-admission experience.Experience in and exposure to the legislation administered by ASIC, including the Corporations Act.Strong legal research, analysis, and advice writing skills.Demonstrated ability to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders.Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.
