Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to coordinate the Franco-American collection at the University of Southern Maine. The successful candidate will have excellent research skills, a strong understanding of Franco-American studies, and experience working with academic collections.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Franco-American collection, including all books, archival materials, artifacts, and other resources. You will work closely with faculty, the Director of Libraries, and the staff of the Special Collections to ensure the collection is well-maintained and accessible to students and researchers.
You will also be expected to produce original scholarship and teach undergraduate students. If you have a passion for research and education, and are looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.
About the Role- Coordinate the Franco-American collection at the University of Southern Maine, including management and oversight of all books, archival materials, artifacts, and other resources.
- Work closely with faculty, the Director of Libraries, and the staff of the Special Collections to ensure the collection is well-maintained and accessible to students and researchers.
- Produce original scholarship related to Franco-American studies.
- Teach undergraduate students as part of the university's curriculum.
This is a one or two year, fixed-length, full-time position that offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a range of benefits. The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
