Job Title: Reporter Editor
Job Summary:
CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a skilled Reporter Editor to join our team in Halifax. As a key member of our news team, you will be responsible for researching and pitching stories, writing, producing, and presenting engaging content for our audiences. This is a full-time temporary position until December 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and pitch stories that meet corporate standards and policies
- Write, produce, and present content for radio, online, and TV
- Develop compelling video storytelling and include diverse voices and perspectives
- Work independently and as part of a team to bring the best content to our audience
- Meet deadlines and work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends
Requirements:
- Strong journalistic track record and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of digital storytelling and interviewing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and commitment to accuracy, fairness, and balance
- Demonstrated technical ability and ability to travel within Nova Scotia on assignment
- Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the minimum requirements of CBC/Radio-Canada's insurance company
