Position Overview:
The Enterprise Solutions Architect is instrumental in defining and guiding our organization's technological and business strategies. This position is responsible for identifying and implementing solutions that tackle intricate technological and business challenges, aligning with the strategic objectives of Coast Capital Savings (CCS). The solutions developed will span various business lines and enterprise-wide implementations, particularly focusing on innovative and complex data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft detailed solution architecture plans and designs that resonate with business objectives and enhance existing systems. Lead architectural design sessions with both business and technical teams, documenting and clearly communicating solution designs to relevant stakeholders. Ensure all proposed solutions adhere to regulatory, enterprise architecture, and data management standards to mitigate risk.
- Comprehend business drivers and capabilities (both current and future) to determine the necessary enterprise solution designs and modifications required to achieve targeted business outcomes.
- Collaborate with business units and subject matter experts to formulate short- and long-term solution strategies, assessing existing technology environments to identify and rectify critical deficiencies. Propose technical architectural standards, patterns, and frameworks while recommending new technologies to enhance current systems.
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders, acting as a bridge between technical teams and business units. Manage expectations effectively to guide stakeholders toward optimal solutions, translating technical concepts into accessible language to foster consensus among non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams, establishing best practices in architectural design and frameworks. Oversee the implementation of solutions during project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Advocate for new technologies and innovations, serving as the technical authority during significant project decisions.
- Engage in solution governance as a member of the Solution Architecture Review Committee (SARC) when necessary.
- Conduct technical risk and vulnerability assessments as part of the solution architecture process, identifying operational, financial, security, brand, industry, and regulatory risks; propose risk mitigation strategies and participate in decision-making processes to address those risks.
- With a focus on information management, design and implement integrated enterprise solutions to ensure seamless data flow across various platforms and applications. Evaluate and incorporate new systems into the existing ecosystem, aligning with architectural blueprints and standards. Optimize system performance through continuous enhancements and assist technical teams in troubleshooting operational issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science with 7 - 9 years of relevant experience. Experience in designing solutions within the Financial/Banking sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) across AWS, Azure, or Google.
- Experience with core banking platforms, digital banking solutions, and open banking standards.
- Extensive knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes, with a strong understanding of information architecture principles, patterns, and modeling techniques.
- Experience in designing data models using various data architecture patterns and tools.
- Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into sustainable long-term solutions that support new business initiatives and regulatory obligations.
- Experience in evaluating existing data systems for effectiveness.
- Awareness of cybersecurity principles and secure design practices is advantageous.
- Knowledge of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with various project delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and SAFe.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, translating complex needs into actionable solutions.
