About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at OIC Construction Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Unloading: Load, unload and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Pre-Operational Inspection: Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Assisting in Construction: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Housekeeping: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Site Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring a safe working environment for all.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Physically Demanding: This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Repetitive Tasks: The role involves repetitive tasks, including loading and unloading materials.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: You will be required to handle heavy loads, up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Requirements:

  • Steel-Toed Safety Boots: You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots on site.
  • Dependability: We are looking for someone who is dependable, flexible, and a team player.
  • Green Job: This role involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 33 to 40 hours per week
