Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Bonnyville. As a Journeyman Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including vacuum trucks, combos, water trucks, tankers, skid-steers, and pressure trucks. You will also diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and pumps, as well as troubleshoot issues and inspect equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including routine inspections and repairs
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and pumps
  • Troubleshoot issues and inspect equipment to identify defects
  • Interpret work orders and complete tasks efficiently
  • Occasionally attend service calls in the field
  • Work alongside apprentices and assist in their development
  • Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled

Requirements

  • Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman certification
  • Valid Class 5 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years
  • Class 1 or 3 licence considered an asset
  • Experience in hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is an asset
  • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Able to provide own tools
