Job Title: Director of Facilities and Maintenance

Job Summary:

The Director of Facilities and Maintenance will be responsible for the overall management of the organization's assets, including fleet of vehicles, buildings, equipment, terminals, bus shelters, signage, and grounds. This role will require strong leadership and management skills to ensure the sound management of these assets and to strengthen the focus on customer satisfaction, team safety, and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategies to optimize the department's internal operations and improve performance indicators.
  2. Lead a team of employees through change management initiatives and ensure a culture shift towards innovation and excellence.
  3. Develop and maintain processes for operational excellence in a unionized environment, prioritizing occupational health and safety.
  4. Participate in the Directors' Committee and Board of Directors' meetings to contribute to strategic decision-making.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in business administration and 15 years of experience in managing a mechanical maintenance department. They should be able to communicate their vision with enthusiasm and have experience working in a unionized environment. The candidate should also have a track record of leading culture shifts and understanding the importance of listening, encouraging reflection, and trying new approaches.
