Job Summary

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at Compass Canada. As a Heavy Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all hard floor surfaces, including dry mopping, wet mopping, and polishing.
  • Strip and finish hard floor surfaces as needed.
  • Transport garbage and recyclables to designated areas.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
  • Clean glass areas, including windows and mirrors.
  • Clean and maintain washrooms, including sinks, toilets, and showers.
  • Clean and maintain stairwells and elevator cabs.
  • Wash walls and ceilings, and dust ceiling light fixtures and ceiling fans.
  • Use pile lifting equipment to restore carpet.
  • Shampoo broadloom and use extracting equipment to clean broadloom.

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience is required.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Must be able to use cleaning equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out duties of the position.
