About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our business unit(s) to ensure that strategies, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in compliance with governing legislation/regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Compliance programs to ensure that the assigned business units are operating in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to the assigned business units on compliance-related matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments/teams within Global Compliance and/or Scotiabank as may be necessary to support the assigned business units.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and implementing process enhancements, as well as overseeing the resolution of process deficiencies and driving operational efficiency without compromising compliance requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Post-secondary education.
  • Results-oriented, highly motivated with a keen ability to influence others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to present to senior executives confidently and effectively.
