About the Role:
The Nurse Practitioner at Providence Health Care is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing comprehensive patient care and developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, disorders, and conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic investigations, and analyze information to monitor progress and plan treatment.
- Communicate with patients and families about health findings, diagnoses, and priorities, outcomes, and prognoses.
- Develop and implement population-based strategies to improve health and participate in policy-making activities that influence health services and practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, the healthcare team, and social service providers to determine the appropriate resources necessary for patient status.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals.
- Recent relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Course, Level C.
- Eligibility for appointment to the Providence Health Care Department of Nurse Practitioners as Medical Staff.
