The City of Sault Ste. Marie is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to fill the role of Deputy Chief – Fire Operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective strategies for fire operations, training divisions, and support services division.
- Provide strategic direction and oversee departmental services in accordance with Council-approved levels of service.
- Build and lead high-performing teams of leaders.
- University Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Business Administration, Finance, etc.).
- Experience in municipal fire service management or a related field.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems effectively.
This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $127,621 – $151,942 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
