Job Summary

Parsons is seeking an Electrical Designer to join their Markham office in Ontario. As a key member of the civil infrastructure group, you will work on projects involving roadways, bridges, transitways, and municipal infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for roadways and bridges, including lighting and traffic signal systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure electrical designs meet project requirements and regulations.
  • Perform calculations and analysis for electrical systems, including loading, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations.
  • Develop and maintain electrical design standards and guidelines.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and equipment submittals.
  • Coordinate with electrical contractors and perform site observations.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering and 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • Proficient in electrical engineering theories and practices.
  • Experience with AGI32 lighting design software and AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer registration.
  • Experience working with municipal agencies in Ontario.
