Preston Freight System Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transportation operations, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of vehicles, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
- AZ class license
- Basic security clearance
- Driver's validity licence check
- Drug test
- Valid driver's licence
