We are seeking an experienced leader to join our global consulting firm as a key client-facing specialist in impact assessment for mining projects in Canada.

The ideal candidate will have established relationships with mining companies, technical expertise designing and implementing environmental and social baseline studies, and leading the preparation of impact assessments and development permits for capital projects with a focus on Canada.

As a senior leader, you will be accountable for selling and overseeing development of regulatory strategies, stewarding data collection and preparatory studies, and undertaking federal and provincial environmental, social, economic, heritage, and health impact assessments, and permit applications.

You will support client Indigenous and public engagement to build a sustainable business in Canada, while networking with ERM's regional and global technical communities to share best practices across the mining industry.

E RM's Impact Assessment service area in Canada focuses on supporting development of projects in the mining and energy sectors. Our approach is to work with our clients to identify their environmental and social impacts and risks throughout the project lifecycle so that they can be managed.

This is a Partner-level opportunity for a Principal/Director/VP-level professional looking to further their career with an equity stake in a global environmental/social company that leads the field of sustainability consulting.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $250,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus benefits including comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

The successful candidate will have 15+ years of demonstrated experience with capital project delivery, impact assessment, and/or permitting, working substantially with the mining sector in Canada.

Demonstrated experience working with federal and provincial legislation and policies that apply to mine project development and permitting in Canada is also required.

Bilingualism (French, Spanish, other) is a strong asset in this role.
