Your Role at Baxter

As the Associate RFP and Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for regional contract and RFP management for all consumable, equipment, and service contracts and RFPs. You will work closely with key business partners, including Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Logistics, and Legal, to ensure successful end-to-end management of all RFPs/RFQs/RFIs and Contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain contracts for region-specific customers.
  • Assess viability of requested changes or additions to standard contract verbiage and compare to business standards.
  • Manage the Contract Calendar, taking into account national perspectives.
  • Act as Project Manager for contract resigns, RFPs, and RFI's for the region.
  • Execute and manage contract processes, including new, renewals, capital, consumables, lease, quotes, and extensions.
  • Ensure timely contract resigns and use judgment to determine if escalation to Management Team is necessary.
  • Manage the contract process, leading the preparation of agreements, contracts, and/or price quotations.
  • Ensure compliance with Baxter's documented procedures, applicable laws, regulations, and standards, good business practices.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions internally and externally to support Sales and ensure Baxter's interests are well defended and processes are followed.
  • Manage terms and conditions analysis with Legal Specialist and/or Legal to ensure completion within timelines and adherence to processes.
  • Organize and schedule multiple simultaneous RFP responses on tight schedules and under elevated pressure.
  • Organize kickoff and status updates calls/meetings for multiple RFP responses with key stakeholders.
  • Analyze RFP requirements and assign specific sections/questions to the appropriate internal resources.
  • Support other Baxter Canada Contracts and Pricing initiatives as required.
Requirements
  • Bilingual – Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
  • University Degree in Business Administration, contracts specialty, or related field.
  • 2+ years related experience, healthcare preferred.
  • Contract and Pricing Management and Sales Support RFP Management experience.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Customer-facing experience with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • JD Edwards and Cognos experience would be an asset.
