Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team at NPC NORTHLAND BUILDERS INC. As a Drywall Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality finish.
  • Filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure stability and safety.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a professional finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Specialist, you will work in various locations, including construction sites and warehouses. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks. You must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years, or equivalent experience.
