Software Verification Engineer

CS Group Canada is a leading developer and certifier of safety-critical systems in the aerospace, electric, and autonomous driving industries. We are seeking a skilled Software Verification Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test embedded software applications on aircraft and space systems, ensuring compliance with DO-178 standards.
  • Develop and run relevant tests on test platforms to verify software correctness.
  • Debug issues in engine control software and ensure traceability between design and test artifacts.
  • Conduct independent peer reviews of tests produced by team members.
  • Draft final technical documents and provide clear status updates to leads.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of team performance, focusing on quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2-6 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience with engine control software and knowledge of DO-178.
  • Proficiency in C language, scripting languages like Python, and testing tools like Rational RTRT and/or LDRA.
  • Knowledge of SCADE, Matlab/Simulink, or equivalent, and software knowledge of Microsoft Office, DOORS, and SVN.
  • Basic knowledge of communication protocols like CAN, ARINC, RS-422, and Ethernet.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and team-player attitude.
