Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to provide care and support to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in their homes. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging them in activities and conversations
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering clients' dietary needs and preferences
  • Assist clients with medication management and adhere to medication schedules
  • Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to supervisors
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in home support work or a related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
