About the Role

We are seeking an experienced High-Performance Chiller Mechanic Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for executing contract maintenance visits, inspections, and site assessments to ensure optimal performance of commercial, industrial, and institutional chillers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, and site assessments to identify areas for improvement and recommend necessary upgrades or repairs.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues through effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Serve as the direct customer contact and be responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer locations.
  • Use cutting-edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand tools and rigging equipment, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Enforce safety standards to the highest level and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.
  • Work as part of a team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of service to all customers, requiring flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business demands, including occasional overnight stays.
Requirements
  • Requires Mechanical Journeyperson status.
  • Valid Red Seal Refrigeration and A/C certification.
  • Valid ODP certification.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers (i.e., smartphones, iPads).
  • Adherence to company safety programs.
  • Valid driver's license, appropriate licenses to work with refrigerants, boilers, and steam operational & service knowledge.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work on call nights and weekends on a rotating basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional experience with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
Estimated Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and location.
