Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sample Preparation Specialist to join our team in Thunder Bay. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing samples for laboratory analysis, working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unpack, sort, check, crush, and pulverize mineral samples using specialized equipment.
  • Safely follow standard operating procedures and perform quality control checks as required.
  • Enter sample data into computer systems, ensuring accurate details.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Fork Lift certification/license is an asset.
  • Ability to lift 25 kg on a consistent basis.
  • Hand-Eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a mature work ethic.
  • Problem solving, communication, organization, and time management.
  • Commitment to the production of accurate and timely results.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and other PPE properly and follow all safety protocols.
  • Ability to work day and night shifts, including weekends, on a 4 days on 4 days off rotation.
