Job Summary:

We are seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team in the GTA and Peel Region. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will work closely with our supervising physiotherapist to deliver high-quality care to residents in residential care communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervising physiotherapist in developing and implementing treatment plans for residents.
  • Perform various treatments as prescribed, including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, and application of modalities.
  • Deliver dynamic and safe exercise classes for groups of residents.
  • Set up and prepare equipment, and clean up after residents' treatments.
  • Ensure the resident gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy.
  • Maintain regular communication with the physiotherapist regarding resident status and treatment interventions.
  • Record daily treatments using our proprietary system.

Qualifications:

  • PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology.
  • Previous experience in an LTC setting is an asset.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Certification.
  • Covid Vaccination Certificate.
