Kitchen Manager Job Description
Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ is seeking a skilled Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient food preparation and presentation.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and excess.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates, monitoring expenses and optimizing kitchen operations.
- Address customer complaints or concerns, providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, informing management of trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and submit reports, highlighting key performance indicators and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Dependability, initiative, and a team player attitude.
