Chemical Engineer Internship

Cenovus is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chemical or Process Engineering student to join our team as a Co-op or Internship opportunity. This role will provide a unique chance to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, working alongside industry-leading professionals.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for applying engineering principles to resolve safety, environmental, and integrity concerns, while optimizing performance and identifying opportunities to reduce costs and add business value.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will vary depending on business unit placement, but may include:
- Applying engineering theory to resolve safety and environmental concerns
- Optimizing process performance and identifying opportunities for cost reduction
To be considered for this opportunity, you must be enrolled in a Chemical or Process Engineering undergraduate program at an accredited post-secondary institution and be available to begin work in May 2025. You must also be legally eligible to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application.

Working ConditionsThis role may involve working at site, with frequent travel, sitting, standing, and computer work. You will also be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours and pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment.
