Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager, Mechanical and Electrical to join our team at Humber College. As a key member of our Capital Development & Facilities Management department, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of complex, multi-million dollar, and multi-year mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, from Request for Proposal (RFP) development to post-construction operation optimization.
  • Lead diverse mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects, including conversions, decommissioning, and new installations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, financial, and contractual procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and college staff.
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • P. Eng. designation, licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario, or equivalent.
  • 5-9 years of experience in project management, construction, and mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale construction projects in traditional, construction management, and/or design-build project delivery environments.
  • Experience with diverse mechanical building services projects, including air-based and hydronic systems, boilers, chillers, rooftop, HVAC, controls, piping.
  • Knowledge of financial, contractual, and administrative procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
