About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to assist with various accounting tasks, including financial record-keeping, budgeting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

In this permanent position, you will work closely with our finance team to ensure the smooth operation of our financial systems and processes. You will also be responsible for preparing tax returns, maintaining general ledgers and financial statements, and posting journal entries.

Requirements
  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field is preferred.
Work Environment

This role involves working on-site and requires flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. As a member of our team, you will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits
  • A competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum.
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Public transportation available.
