Job Summary

The North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dietary Service Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care through the preparation and delivery of meals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble patient meals according to dietary requirements and hospital standards
  • Deliver meals to patient units and collect trays
  • Operate ware washing machines and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Sort and wrap cutlery, store food and supplies, and prepare cold food items
  • Issue frozen, refrigerated, and dry food supplies according to computer requisitions
  • Visit patients for meal selection using a computerized device

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Public Health Food Handler's Certificate, Mandatory
  • Strong customer service background and prior work experience in institutional food service an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset
