Inventory Control Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising a small group of hourly associates in a warehouse management operation. Your primary focus will be on monitoring day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with safety and logistics procedures. This role supports the Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday, and requires effective communication skills to communicate daily work assignments to all shift associates.
Main Accountabilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and recommending changes in preferred work processes to improve customer satisfaction. They will also effectively manage deadline pressures while maintaining a positive attitude and ensuring customer products are stored or delivered in a timely basis without damage. Additionally, they will need to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, including inventory accuracy and control, returns, damages, etc. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the relationship between decision-making and profitability, as well as closely manage associates' working hours and activities to minimize overtime and meet or exceed productivity targets.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require 3-5 years of warehouse experience, preferably with 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Proficiency in English and French is desirable, along with good communication skills, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. You should be proficient in using CRT, PC, scanners, calculators, and related equipment, as well as having SAP knowledge and a working knowledge of MRP and JIT. Strong written and oral communication skills, along with advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, are essential. Regular, predictable attendance is crucial, and willingness to travel as necessary is required.
