Description

Production Scheduler

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Coordinator & Production Scheduler to manage the onsite inventory and oversee the flow of materials and products through our production facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating production schedules to ensure smooth operations within the production department.

Responsibilities:

- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels for production needs while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
- Coordinate with procurement staff to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to support production schedules.
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, resource availability, and production capacity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to coordinate activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Monitor production processes to identify potential raw material shortfalls and work with others to prevent an impact to production targets.
- Utilize inventory management software to track inventory levels, forecast demand, and generate reports for management review.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to prevent stockouts, overages, and shrinkage.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates on inventory status, production schedules, and any issues impacting operations.
- Play a key role in inventory cycle counts, quarterly, and annual audits.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to inventory management and production scheduling.

Requirements:

- College diploma or greater in supply chain or business-related field
- 3+ years of proven experience in inventory management, production planning, or supply chain coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Certification in inventory management or production planning is desirable.
