As a member of the Royal Bank of Canada's Public Company Group, you will play a vital role in supporting securities regulatory filings, diligence processes, funding transactions, and quarterly financial reporting. This opportunity is ideal for law professionals seeking to leverage their expertise in securities and corporate law.
SalaryWe offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, based on the location in Toronto, Canada.
Job DescriptionThis Securities Law Clerk position involves assisting with:
- Preparing and completing Canadian, U.S., and U.K. securities regulatory filings on behalf of RBC;
- Drafting, revising, and coordinating information and documents related to due diligence, funding transactions, continuous disclosure, and other matters;
- Managing postings to Corporate Treasury's investor relations webpages;
- Administering and/or maintaining several SharePoint sites;
- Managing third-party vendor relationships and engagements;
- Maintaining a strong working relationship with internal functional partners and stakeholders;
- Performing other administrative duties, such as invoicing, archiving, coordinating signatures, closing book libraries, etc.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A Law Clerk Designation or equivalent;
- Excellent communication, writing, and oral skills;
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under time pressure and deadlines;
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with discretion when dealing with confidential matters;
- Initiative, self-reliance, and an ability to work autonomously and as a team player;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe applications, and Excel.
