Lead the Way in River Restoration

The Elizabeth River Project is seeking a visionary leader to drive our mission forward. As our new Executive Director, you will be responsible for leading a community-wide collaboration to restore the environmental health of the Elizabeth River.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to achieve our mission, working closely with diverse stakeholders and communities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our Board of Directors, staff, and partners to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Oversee fundraising efforts, securing major gifts from the private sector and cultivating donor relations.
  • Lead the development of innovative solutions to address the complex environmental challenges facing the Elizabeth River.
  • Collaborate with our team to advance DEIJ efforts, both internally and externally, and promote environmental justice.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest environmental science and education trends, applying this knowledge to inform our work.
  • Represent the Elizabeth River Project at local, regional, and national levels, building partnerships and promoting our mission.
What We Offer
  • An annual salary range of $125,000 to $135,000, commensurate with experience.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, and a 403(b) plan.
