About the Role

The HSE Coordinator is a key member of our team at CO_3200 Canem Systems Ltd., responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This role involves coordinating and monitoring safety procedures, protocols, and practices within our region's branches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and maintain worksite safety, environmental, hazard assessment, and Occupational Health and Safety standards, procedures, and protocols.
  • Coordinate and conduct training for all branch staff in safety-related programs, such as WHMIS, equipment operation, fall protection, first aid, and forklift training.
  • Monitor and assist safety maintenance programs on company-owned or rented equipment.
  • Participate in project pre-planning and provide information for tender documentation on manpower and safety.
  • Conduct on-site orientation, monitor onsite procedures, and develop safe work practices and procedures with site personnel.
  • Support incident investigation and reporting, including health, safety, environment, medical, first aid cases, and damage to property or equipment.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of projects and provide assessments to project supervisors.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment experience.
  • Safety Certification, such as CSO, CSS, NCSO, or GSC.
  • Experience with electrical work is an asset.
  • Positive, self-motivated, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Outstanding people and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Proficiency and knowledge in required computer programs.
  • Excellent knowledge of local, provincial, and federal safety laws, rules, and regulations, Occupational Health and Safety standards, procedures, and protocols.
