Job Title: On-Site Electrical Quality Assurance Inspector

Englobe is a leading environmental services company with a strong commitment to sustainability and quality. We are currently seeking an experienced On-Site Electrical Quality Assurance Inspector to join our quality department.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine quality surveillance of the contractor's production on-site, including witnessing the contractor's inspection and testing activities. This will involve verifying that quality control is effective and the work meets the specification requirements.

The candidate will also be responsible for performing certain control tests with instruments to perform electrical tests, such as insulation resistance tests and continuity tests. Additionally, they will identify and raise non-conformity reports, review contractor's non-conformity reports, and verify corrective actions.

The On-Site Electrical Quality Assurance Inspector will work closely with our client and the main contractor to ensure that the quality of the installation of the hydroelectric power plant's electrical equipment meets the specifications, standards, and reference diagrams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine quality surveillance of the contractor's production on-site
  • Witness the contractor's inspection and testing activities
  • Verify that quality control is effective and the work meets the specification requirements
  • Perform certain control tests with instruments to perform electrical tests
  • Identify and raise non-conformity reports
  • Review contractor's non-conformity reports and verify corrective actions
  • Review quality records and release hold points established in the inspection and test plans
  • Review contractor's quality reports
  • Prepare daily reports summarizing contractor's quality performance and quality issues
Requirements
  • College diploma, technologist diploma, or university degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Available to travel regularly to remote areas on rotation
  • Knowledge of QA/QC activities
  • Knowledge of various electrical testing methods
  • Knowledge of hydroelectric power plant equipment
  • Technical writing skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
