Theatre History II Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Theatre History II professor to join our faculty at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of theatre history, from the late eighteenth century to the present.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and develop curriculum for Theatre History II courses
- Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
- Contribute to the development of theatre programs and initiatives at the University of Ottawa
Requirements:
- PhD or MA/MFA in Theatre Studies or equivalent
- Teaching experience at the university level
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
- Thorough knowledge of both practical and theoretical aspects of theatre from the late eighteenth century to the present
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
