About the Role
At BGIS, we are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and providing exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment and systems, including air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration units.
- Perform routine and on-demand service requests, and conduct preventative and corrective maintenance activities at assigned facilities.
- Monitor and inspect facilities, mechanical and electrical equipment, and systems to ensure uptime and safety objectives are met.
- Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs, and maintain accurate inventory of assigned tools and equipment.
- Provide observations and recommendations for facility enhancements and repairs, and participate in facility-related projects.
Requirements
- College diploma or certification in a related field, such as HVAC or refrigeration.
- Valid Certificate of Qualification issued by the province in which the work is performed.
- Strong ability to adhere to and execute processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance.
- Ability to maintain building mechanical and other system troubleshooting and resolution skills.
- Current knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards.
- Strong client-service orientation, effective communication skills, and mentoring skills.
