About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Olsson, a leading engineering and design firm. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing large and complex projects, overseeing cross-functional teams, and ensuring project quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large and complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and other professionals, to achieve project goals and objectives.
  3. Scope and Planning: Determine the scope, complexity, planning, and scheduling requirements of large projects, ensuring they are aligned with the firm's goals and objectives.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure project quality to client and firm standards through the development and implementation of best practices, processes, and tools, including conducting regular project reviews and audits.
  5. Mentorship and Training: Ensure project management excellence through mentoring and training of staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  6. Client Relationships: Build and maintain positive client relationships, ensuring excellent client service and satisfaction.
  7. Resource Management: Manage project resources, including staffing, budgeting, and procurement, to ensure efficient use of resources and successful project outcomes.
  8. Performance Monitoring: Monitor project performance and progress, tracking project milestones and deliverables, and utilizing project management technologies and best practices.
  9. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans and proactively managing project issues.
  10. Feedback and Improvement: Solicit feedback from clients to ensure a high level of client satisfaction and to identify opportunities to improve Olsson's level of service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Strong Project Management Skills: Proven experience in managing large and complex projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  2. Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles and practices, with the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and technologies, with a strong understanding of engineering and design principles and practices.
  5. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or a related area, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in the consulting industry and 10 years of experience in project management.
