We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at the Dawson Creek Hospital Project. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction and maintenance of buildings and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
  • Understand industrial concrete forming and build concrete forms and other structures
  • Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, utilizing appropriate math skills
  • Check completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
  • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
  • Fall Protection and Confined Space is an asset
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and train apprentices
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
